Hi
I spend the past decade in the Visayas (mostly Cebu) .
Checked out
boat prices in the
Philippines last year and found out that they are way over-prized. The quality of the
boats advertised was no good too. I remember one crazy dude offering a 40 years old wood/plastic
boat for almost 60k US. As I decided last
winter to not to return to the
Philippines any longer (can't stand Asian attitude any more) I purchased a boat in the
USA. The
USA is (in my opinion) the best place to
purchase a (sail-) boat. There is simply the biggest market with the comparable lowest prices world-wide. Probably a remainder/ remaining effect of times when the Americans still have been the richest people on the globe? I don't know, just my
advice, buy a boat in the USA and sail it over to the Philippines. Also consider the
hull material. I swear on
Aluminum.
Steel is okay too but too heavy.
Wind is free everywhere.
Cheers
