Now that looks like a bargain.

As the owner of a Gitana 43 (17 years) I can tell you in my unbiased opinion, what you have there is a fine ocean globetrotter. One of the most sea kindly yet quick displacement designs I have ever sailed.

Oswald Berckemeyer, a German yacht designer who lived six months of the year in South Africa and the other six months in his home land, designed the Gitana 43 as a schooner for young families to go world cruising. I spoke with him before he passed.

I would love to touch base with you to chat about the history of your fine sail boat and perhaps your story.

Maybe it is time I created that website dedicated to the Gitana 43 design.

I heard that boat was donated to a non profit in Texas near Lewisville Lake. And they are trying to sell it.
