Re: Four Cabin Catamaran
My advice is to get a boat you can afford.
It's easy to look at expensive boats and dream, but really, you don't have the money to maintain an expensive boat. Get something that you can DIY maintenance and repairs on (like a Wharram for example). and that living on the boat will be closer to camping in terms of comfort.

Oh, we're also looking at other options knowing that finding something that will actually work for us is extremely unlikely. However, if we can find the right boat that's worth sacrificing for, we'll definitely go for it. I try to consider as many options as possible. A cruising catamaran is just the dream.

Re: Four Cabin Catamaran
I looked at the 39' privilege $78,000 in coconut Grove, Florida.
Seller wants all cash ,does not want to finance.

MJ SAILING vlog on YouTube started with a new shell, in pieces. They paid $140,000.
I figure with the 39' privilege which is ready to live on.snd travel .
All you need is new diesel motors ,30hp with tranny , $8500 each yanmar.,and modernize the interior as you like.
Get newer rig ,and sdilsand mast from hurricane sunk 2015-2020 sailboat.,preferably with in mast furler.for around $4-7,000.use dyneema for rig.
And you are starting at $78,000

Besides the all cash deal, what did you think of the vessel?
Is this offer reasonable?

There is nothing reasonable about the multitudes of different adverts that have featured that cat. One has even mentioned that all of the interior wood is shot, but it’s a great opportunity to build it up. Wouldn’t touch it.

Except the person posting under the name Ian Jon is also the Privilege 39 seller , as shown by some of his previous posts:
