Want To Buy: First time buyer in Puerto Rico

I need some advice. I'm about to make a gigantic financial decision and I would be much obliged in receiving input, advice and information from experienced sailors in the purchase of a sailboat for a firs time cruiser. I have been searching online listings for sailboats in Puerto Rico with in my price range of 10k and the results have been limited. My question is; would I have better luck in finding a suitable sailboat if I go directly to marinas and boat yards over searching and filtering results from the internet? Like I mentioned I am a first time cruiser and all help is appreciated.

You’ll have better chances to find something at this price on US East coast unless you’re interested for a hurricane damaged project boat. I would not suggest the last option if you are a first time cruiser. Good luck!

Was thumbing through the forums and saw you were in PR, still have family down there. Nice following other peoples journey as they look for and purchase their boat. Learning all I can. Good luck, hope you post some pictures to show us.
