(feeler) 1978 islander 53 hull

I am contemplating stripping my boat of the mast , all rigging , engine and anything worth of value and transferring it to a new hull. The chances are not that likely I will go through with the plan but I'm curious if there is any interest in the hull or if scrapping the 18000 lbs lead is the best choice.

$12000 price tag
would include the brand new fully inclosed dodger it's about %90 complete and about 5k in just the stainless, Mackrolon ar2 and multiple layers of sunbrella supreme.

Would also include refrigerator system . Custom stainless freezer spill over with 2 danfoss 50s and 2 holding plates. Additional engal freezer mounted under the counter .

The interior is about a 5 or 6 out of 10 but could be cleaned up , needs headliners and some varnish.

Deck was recently kiwi qripped .

Would not include aluminum toe rail

Would not include monitor wind vane, sold separately for $1200

The tankage is rough, 300 gallons of stainless water with slight leak.
150 g fuel. Aluminum tanks with the tops cut off and stainless dropped in .
(9) stainless beer kegs mounted under the couches for an additional 120 gallons of fuel.

New rudder 3 years ago

L & s autopilot available separately.

Hull is solid fiberglass with aluminum bulkheads modified full keel with half skeg hung rudder.

Would make a good liveaboard or project.

Currently located in San Diego, subject to change soon. If you are interested pm and we can talk.

Price is firm at $12000 with refrigeration and dodger. Maybe negotiable without, I can get .49 cents a lb for the 18000 lead. But can't imagine getting it out of the boat.
