Correct me if I'm wrong.
You offered this boat for sale two years ago for about the same price,
with no takers.
Two years on. The boats been sitting in Grenada, deteriorating and you're offering
it again, for about the same amount.
Care to explain your logic?
Princess Anne once having a quick look around at the Boat Show is hardly worth
mentioning. With the exception of The Queen. I wouldn't buy a used car from any
of them!

Re: Extensively refitted Moody 40 / 1998

You are correct, the boat was offered around 1.5 years ago for a very brief period. And back then boat generated really serious interest in the market. Then we decided to keep it and continue to refitting her even more. The boat was on the hard all that time with professional people taking care of it. But now the situation changed due to Covid and we are offering her again.
Regarding princess Anne, I thought it is the interesting fact. That is not corresponding to the price or the boats condition in any way
Regarding the price, I would consider any serious offers from interested parties.

"I wouldn't buy a used car from any
of them!" - I bet you would for a good price

I hope that answers your question and my logic.

Nice quality yacht and a really good size, sadly out of our price range or we would be discussing an Atlantic Delivery. Good luck with the sale

The Queen is not known to be a sailor. Princess Anne is and owns a Rustler. Care to elaborate on your thinking?

Her Maj has a rather nice series two land-Rover which I wouldn't mind having if she has finished with it

Can't see that getting across the Atlantic myself.

Could be, most of the world is in lockdown working and living at home or on board for seaming months at a time. Something we definitely are not used to.

This is a real bargain for a very good quality Ocean capable boat. Unless there is some flaw you should sell easily, especially after the refit.

Perspective buyers should not be put off by silly unjustified remarks.

I do not know the owner - just the model and make.

Nasty remarks, how?
All I asked the seller to do was explain his logic.
FYI - I'm looking for a Moody.

If my remarks about 'the firm' offended, tough.
I've met them all and have friends who went to school with them,
so am speaking from experience when I remark on their character
or lack of it.

#1 Everything doesn’t depreciate with age. The Corvettes I owned and sold in the 60’s are worth 10X as much now.

#2 unless you have seen the boat two years ago and have visited it recently you have no idea if it’s condition has deteriorated or improved.

#3 I really don’t think it gets anyone anywhere to denigrate England’s Royal Family.

You come across as a tire-kicker trying to get a lower price.

IDK... I heard some guy bought an old Chrysler LeBaron just because he thought it was owned by the actor Jon Voight. Maybe the Princess Anne connection will seal-the-deal for a buyer.

Good luck OP. Looks like an extremely well kept boat.
