For Sale: Celestial 48 Ketch for sale, hurricane damaged

is this boat or parts still available?

I went down to look at the boat with the intention of buying. The damage was more than I felt comfortable repairing and I decided against. The boat remained for sale for a few more months and I have not seen or heard of her since. Perhaps the owner will see your question and respond.

So I have a 48 Celestial Ketch, and after 2 years of a health issue am now getting back to freshening her up.
I lost all sails in hurricane 2 years ago, and among a few other things am now in process of getting her back online.

Secondhand Rose (Lou), has not logged onto the forun since January last year. He lost his wife the year before his boat was blown off the stands in Irma. I went down to look at it, the keel was only held on by some fiberglass and was sagging about an inch. I backed out of the deal and unless he sold it outside of the forum, I heard no more of her. She was definatly a nice boat in her day, but Irma put some serious hurt on her. She wasn't actually blown off, there were 4 boats in a row. She was #2 or 3. 240 mph winds hit them broadside and they fell like dominoes. The yard had them anchored with augers but that much wind was too much. If Lou still has the boat, he has spent a fortune in yard fees. $1400/month. One of the stands punctured the hull. Wish I still had the photos.
