C&C 30 PRICE REDUCTION

Greetings all. I've lowerd the price of my C&C 30 down to $11500.00. Hopefully someone will fall in love with this boat just as I did. Lifestyle changes are the only reason I'm selling.

“Wandering Star” is a 1973 C&C 30’. The early C&C 30's are known as one of the stiffest 30 footers ever built and this boat is a perfect example. She handles like a dream, is extremely well balanced and mannered. She is easily sailed one-handed.

She's been up-fitted with some major improvements over the years.

Fresh hull paint (2015)
Fresh bottom paint and zinc. (2015)
New Perkins diesel (approx 180 hrs) and aluminum fuel tank (2006)
New fuel lines and Racor 500 with 30 micron filter (2016)
New fuel pump (2016)
New cushions (2006)
Upgraded counter surfaces and new dinette table (2008)
Deck painted with non - skid (2008)
Uniden VHF radio (2008)
AM/FM/CD stereo and speakers (2008)
Rewired entire boat (2008)
New battery tender/charger (2008)
New cabin lighting (2008)
New toilet and hoses (2006)

The following was new in 2014:

New standing rigging
New sheets and halyards (including spinnaker halyard/sheets)
New additional wiring and (3) new batteries/and selector switch
1000w pure sine wave inverter
Two new bilge and two new water pumps
Mast step rebuilt
Fuel tank cleaned
LED anchor light
Garmin GPS
Main and Jib halyards lead to cockpit
Boom vang added
Two reefing points added to mainsail & boom

Also included are:
microwave
refrigerator
portable A/C
ceramic heater
five head sails (including spinnaker)
two Danforth anchors + chain and 100’ rope
one Fortress storm anchor + 100’ cable and rope.
dingy
new 4.5 hp Mercury OB
overboard suit
life jackets
depth sounder
spare parts
dock lines
110 shore power
many, many other “boat parts”

The North sails are older but still power the boat like a dream. The spinnaker looks brand new.

She's near Oriental NC at Matthews Point Marina

Re: C&C 30 PRICE REDUCTION

To answer a couple questions

Draft is just under 5'
Engine makes 18 HP and will cruise all day at 5.5 knots.
I've owned the boat for over 4 years and have put over $12k into upgrades on her.

I just don't sail that much anymore. The last time I had her out was last September.

I doubt your boat will still be for sale come fall of 2018, but if it is, email me at wilson.eavis@hotmail.ca
I'm thinking of heading south and know these boats will do the job very well. I owned a 1982 and they sail wonderfully.
Thx.

Re: C&C 30 PRICE REDUCTION

Boat is now in Oriental and is listed with Triton yacht sales. I've sold the Fortress anchor, outboard and dingy separately. Listed price has been dropped to $10500.

Re: C&C 30 PRICE REDUCTION

We are going to look at your C&C tomorrow. Wish we had found her when the dingy was still included. I have a question. Is there a door that can close to separate the head from the saloon so someone could have privacy. We could not see that in the pics. Do you know if it’s possible to have a Bimini made with the traveler in its current position? We are looking forward to seeing her tomorrow morning.

Thank you

Yes however the rudder was damaged by the storm. I will be taking the boat to Sailcraft marina on Oct 15 so they can repair her.

Re: C&C 30 PRICE REDUCTION

Thx for the update.
Was the rudder stock bent or just fiberglass issues?

I'd hugely be interested in your boat once you get the rudder all sorted out.

Best to contact me at eavisw@ns.sympatico.ca as I tend to not check this forum very often.

Thx.

Thanks Wilson. I have not yet seen my boat (I'm currently out of the country on business) I think the damage is to the rudder post only but I won't know for sure until I have the boat hauled. My insurance will cover all the damages (minus my deduction) so I'm going to make sure that the repairs are done correctly. I'll be in touch when my boat is ready to sail again.

Re: C&C 30 PRICE REDUCTION

Thx so much.
Hope the damage is too extensive; they're great boats and sail like a dream!
Will await your response.
Enjoy your time away, hoping for you it's somewhere really nice.
