The Life raft , a Winslow 6 person Offshore Model 6 SLOP was recertified at Winslows Florida facility in July 2016 and is good for 3 years till July 2019. There were no faults found -all the time affected items were replaced with new. Cost $1358.

There are 2 anchors: Main anchor on the Maxwell 1200 Windlass rode is a 55lb Bruce claw anchor-this rode is 200ft of 3/8 BB chain + 200ft of 3/4 nylon. The secondary anchor is a Fortress FX23 on a rode with 40ft 3/8 bb chain and 200ft 3/4 nylon . This can be launched from bow or stern.

Any core in the deck or hull, if so what is it?

Built by Ft Myers Yacht and Ship. Hull and stern is solid Fiberglass-- hull to waterline. Rest has balsa ,deck and cabin top outer top layer is 5/16 thick and very strong as many winches fastened to it. There are no soft spots.

This Yacht is perfect in every aspect and ready to sailaway

Current dock on Island Estates on Clearwater Beach is behind a house and is assumable for a ultra reasonable $275 a month. Very close to ocean , well protected. If needed City of Clearwater will come by once a week with a pump-out barge to pump holding tank for free!

Just had a survey. Boat passed very well- a few small items plus I'm going to change all thru-hulls and seacocks to Marelon whine in boatyard at end of month for bottom job with Micron 66. Price remains at $97K

This boat is a unlimited world cruiser---my health has improved so I may trade partly for a coastal cruising sailboat.

I thought in my head I had gone firm on a short list of boats - then I read this article! I've no experience with Brewers but have read that they are fantastic passage makers. I looked at boats in Florida some years ago, something tells me there are state taxes to pay when purchasing a boat out there - or have I got that confused with somewhere else?

Anyhow, a lovely lovely boat, and one I'll certainly put on the list. I have just sold my boat and given in notice to work. The next step is to buy the next boat, get her ready, and leave!!

From what I understand, if you purchase a boat from someone other than a registered boat dealer Florida sales and use tax are due.

,,,,,,,,not if you leave state within 6 months and/or register it in another place............another US state or another country.... plus if you buy it thru a owner direct the seller is not responsible for collecting any sales tax while a broker is if another Florida resident is the buyer......
