Re: Bluewater Double Ender Somewhere in the World

Look at a Fantasia35. There aren’t many for sale but, if you cans find one, give it a
close inspection. I think you’ll see that it meets your qualifications.

We loved our Tayana 37 and learned to sail on her.

Another possibility is a Nauticat motorsailor.
It is very similar to the Fisher and very sturdy built in Finland for the north sea.
I have a 36 foot Nauticat that I have been contemplating selling. It is currently in a marina near Oriental, North Carolina and I would be glad to show it to you. If you are at all interested PM me and we can discuss it.

The Fantasia 35 mentioned earlier is also squarely in the motor-sailor category.
Had one near me in the marina, good liveaboard interior.

If you look for a Fantasia, look for the "newer" mkII version. They changed from a long keel to a modified long keel w/a separate skeg/rudder to reduce weather helm.

Re: Bluewater Double Ender Somewhere in the World

They are not very famous outside of Scandinavia, but if you are willing to travel to Sweden there are several popular models of boats that meet your criteria. These are proven Water boats">blue water boats, many having gone around the globe. Some of the most popular Swedish models are:
Most all of these can somewhat regularly be found on blocket.se (the site where the Allegro 33 is for sale). However, because were not in sailing season not so many are for sale right now.

Re: Bluewater Double Ender Somewhere in the World

If you are in Ashville, you might want to check out the Westsail 32 that is docked at Lakeshore Marina on Watauga Lake near Hampton, TN. It belonged to Jess Arnett who died in 2019. It has not left the dock in years. The marina might be able to give you a lead.
