Beneteau First 40, built 2011, is
for sale because we want to upgrade to a slighly larger
boat.
Fast and easy to handle cruiser/
racer. that enchanted the journalists during testdrives when she was first released in 2010.
She develops high speeds at low winds and handles high
wind and rough seas with ease. She is extremely light on the
helm in all circumstances.
The integrated
stainless steel frame makes her very stiff and strong, easily supporting the pressure from the
sails.
She offers all the accomodation you need for your weekend or holiday sailing or even as a
liveaboard. The
interior is bright and light with Alpi oak woodwork. She accomodates up to 8 people. Six berths in three cabins and two in the
saloon.
She has a large folding table, full size Nav station and
galley.
she is powered by a
Yanmar 3jh5e
engine, SD60
saildrive and Flexofold folding prop.
The cruising version offers a slighly smaller sailplan which makes her easy to handle and safe to control and a lesser draught of 6ft.
The
cockpit is large and spacious with a large
steering wheel, integrated
Garmin chartplotter and ample strorage. There is easy access to the sea when easily removing the
safety bar. You are sheltered from the sun by a well shaped
Bimini.

Harken winches enable sailcontrol almost fully from the
cockpit, german sheeting system and full
Harken equiped.
she has a aluminium Sparcraft rig with Dyform standing
rigging.
We purchased her in 2022 as a former
training vessel in the UK, she has been used frequently and has some visual traces to show it. We sailed her across the Atlantic in January and sailed the
Carribean since.
We have done all kinds of sailing and learned how strong this
boat is built.
