Not all systems are working

Engine: fully operational
Generator: needs installation completed
Mid and forward head: never tested
Aft head: pump overboard works. Fill seems to be clogged, probably at seachest
Forward water heater: never tested
Fresh water plumbing leak. Really needs all pressure pipe replaced with PVC or PEX.
Water maker plumbing in place but the water maker was tossed by the previous owner. The seachest fitting for the water maker has been capped due to a pipe leak.
The seachest fitting that supplies water to AC units and the generator was leaking between the shut off and the pipe supply. I have inserted a wood plug underneath into the seachest.
Hydraulic steering system leak.
Deck needs some work and paint
Compact clothes washer needs installation, plumbing and electrical in place.
12v refrigeration/freezer needs compressor.
Icemaker weak. It may need vacuuming, leak fixed, or replacement
Macerator center head needs replaced.
Forward toilet lid hinges broken
Mast antenna needs installation
A lot of the navigation gear does not work, but the autopilot holds a compass heading and I believe the marine radio works.
The forward 2 Aircons: I have not been able to get them working. They might be ok.
Aft aircon: worked for about 2 weeks then seems to have lost freon.
1 deck light on the spreader is out.
A lot of the baseboard nightlights are out.
Galley fan doesn’t work.
Never tried the gas range/oven. I have no gas bottles.
Lazarette bilge pump backwash valve not working.
Manual switch lazarette bilge pump not working.
Companionway hatch has leaked a bit and done some cosmetic damage to some of the wood finish in the pilot house.
2 of the forward windows in the pilot house have moisture between layers and need to be replaced.
1 of the Barient 28+ winch drums “disappeared”.
Tub (whirlpool) plumbing works great including the shower, but I have never tried the air jets.

Looking at all offers.

Interesting offset doghouse. Nice bright looking interior. What thickness of plating?

I've heard of offset pilot houses, but this is the first boat I found that has one. It works well with the layout.

Interior is almost all very nicely finished woodwork (except things like heads and whirlpool hot tub).

Plating is roughly 1/4" on average. Thicker for stem to stern centerline, thinner for the deck.

Just a heads up. More detail that seems to be important to people:

Please note that this was a salvage boat that has been restored. It got 2’ of water inside from holes in the steel hull from the result of a “hot” dock that caused electrical corrosion but was pulled out of the water within 6 hours and there is no evidence of interior woodwork damage from the water. Restoration involved sanding the entire bottom and using an industrial epoxy with an equivalent expansion coefficient of steel. She has been floating for over 3 years now with no sign of issues from the use of the epoxy.

$35,00 was a typo - missing a 0.

Asking price: $35,000

Does the boat have storm shutters for the cabin windows, or can you provide better pictures of how the upper area there is isolated from seawater in a bad case situation?

3 front windows have hurricane storm shutters designed and built for the boat.

I hate to say this, but it is unlikely this was caused by a "hot" dock and the chances are there are lots of other hidden problems with the hull. this boat has had a serious corrosion issue and you couldn't give me this boat!

Depending on how many tubes it took to repair, I would change the listing to: " Composite construction blue water cruising cutter"

sailorboy1,

Interesting comment. Please feel free to provide your credentials regarding your comment? Electrical engineering degree? Work on steel boats? Other studies or background and experience. I am open to constructive criticism, but only from reliable sources. Many people "just don't like steel boats"; are you one of those?

I have had no corrosion issues related to this event since the repair has been made. She has been in the water for over 3 years now.

Oh and you can be sure that I would not "give you the boat".

According to reliable sources, once renovation is complete, she would be worth about $200k. I just don't have time for her and am willing to pass her on to someone else to complete the work.

Instead since I have no skin in the games (even though I have related experience)

How about YOU provide your training and experience to say I am wrong and that your "hot marina", that was unlikely and rare, ONLY knew to attack a small area of your boat and no where else. Do you have a report from a certified corrosion surveyor etc.

And yes you could not give me a steel boat that has had a corrosion problem bad enough to sink it. Not only does it have proven corrosion problem, but has sunk!

So for those considering this boat be sure to do your investigation and it should include a detailed hull survey from someone qualified to do steel boats, both inside and out.
