Rob, I think dredging specs are for deeper
water than my
boat so harbors have always been good. The
California delta is where I spent the most time. No problems there.
Mexico all good. The main thing about the design is it
sails great. It
sails like a
race boat but has all the specs for world cruising. The skeg hung
rudder, strong light
hull, tall rig, and it is the driest boat my wife and I have ever been on. We have 6 ocean passages on lots of
boats Most with similar drafts. That includes the
Med the
Atlantic Ocean to the
Caribbean. The Bahama's on an Amel to
Georgia.
Florida to the Bahama's.
Sweden, Wetern
Africa to the
Caribbean.
Hawaii to SF,
Canada to
Mexico and Back. Many trips between Mexico and
San Francisco. Sri Lanka to the
Med.
No you can't park it on the beach but you can sail it in really light air.
