44' Kelley-Peterson

Kelley-Peterson 44 $5,000 plus Document transfer costs.

Well kept and excellent boat. New rigging, sails, chainplates, fuel tanks, engine. Stainless steel stern arch with davits and solar panels. Struck by lightning. Boat needs to be cleaned and rewired. We are in our late 70s and not going to sail again. Under custom-made sun cover in dry storage in Mexico. About a 4.5 hour drive south from Arizona. Labor here is reasonable.
Location is San Carlos Marina SECA, Sonora, Mx.

Excellent opportunity for someone who wants a comfortable, capable $100k blue-water boat.

Re: 44' Kelley-Peterson

I just ran across this listing seems to good to be true. I live in AZ so it could work for me. How much trouble shooting have you done on her after the lighting strike? Have all the electronics been damaged? Any info you could provide would be great.

Cheers,
Karl Steiner

Re: 44' Kelley-Peterson

Hi Karl,

I have done very little besides cleaning out the battery area and breaker panel that were burned. We put the sun cover back on and the boat is in dry storage. My spouse is 80 and I am in my 70s. We are not going to use the boat again. It really is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants a capable, comfortable boat.
It needs some scrubbing and cleaning. Locals like jobs like that and rates are reasonable. I think most wires can be spliced and rewiring will not be difficult. This is one of the best cruising boats ever built. We loved it more every year. Let me know if you want to come to San Carlos, near Guaymas, and see it.

Hi KP44,

How can I arrange to see the boat in San Carlos? I am interested in purchasing the boat.

Hi KP44,

I messaged you earlier. Maybe I asked the wrong questions. Is the boat still for sale?

Regards,

Martin
