Hello! We are Sam and Alex. We are searching for our next sailboat to take us across the oceans and to be out home for the next decade or so.

Sam has been living and cruising on his sailboat since 2020, and has done extensive work refitting and maintaining the systems onboard. Sam is a working professional in First Nations Governance.

Alex is an experienced expedition kayaking guide and traveller, professional research vessel operator, search and rescue volunteer, and is now a certified teacher.

We are looking at 44-52' sailboats across the Pacific Northwest in the range of $50-150K CAD. We are seeking a boat that is safe and comfortable, ideally with updated systems onboard. We are highly interested in older center cockpit designs of solid fibreglass construction, but are interested in seeing any sailboats in our price range.

Hey there , In the next few months I will be listing my 1978 islander 53 center cockpit. She's a 1 off design from islander , built of thick solid fo fiberglass. I've been cruising her for about 12 years and have done many upgrades. New sails last year with only 1 trip on them from Mexico to California.

Mast was new in 2013 , incredibly overly built from balenger spars . 5' taller than original (72')

I built this boat for safety and utility, I treated this boat like a commercial vessel not a yacht, and it shows. She needs paint on the topsides and could use an interior remodel.
She's ready to sail today but still needs a lot of cosmetic work
