I'm just wondering how the boat became 42' long. Was it extended?

The overall length is 42 ft because of the arch and solar panels. The hulls have not been modified. It 39ft at the water line.

I think the Privilege 39 is a great boat but most people don't consider an arch and solar panels to be contributing factor for length except at the marina.
FWIW the length on this site reads 38.75' over all and 35.17' at the waterline.

Glad you like the 39 Privilege. “Aloha” has been great for us.
That’s funny. We found that website as well a long time ago. So we actually measured her. Our LOA is 39ft 5inch minus the solar. The LAWL 39ft 1inch.
I don’t know how sailboatdata got there numbers. The 39 Privilege was made from 1988 to 1994 “Aloha” is one of the last with hull #85.
As far as I know they are all the same Hull. You can see in the pictures the LOA and LAWL is almost the same.
So I don’t know why the sailboat data has this information. But thanks for the fact checking. I will Make you a deal. If you come measure and get 35.17 LAWL. I will let you have her for only 154,999. Lol. Have a great day.
