"I'm interested in finding out if there are any fast designs which fit the criteria but haven't been looked at yet..."
Is the approved list locked down? The Sea Sprite 34 (Bill Luders design) meets the requirements. One, with a family on a transatlantic, is said to have rode out the 1979 storm that wiped the Fastnet race. Another won the Newport-Bermuda two or three years ago. Mine is a good deal faster and pointier than Cape Dory (which I've had a like a lot). Not so easy to find, though I've seen at least one advertised on the great lakes in recent years.

Re: 32-36 ft full keel boat for Golden Globe Race
The Rustler 36 dominated the last race. There is Cape Dory 36 that has 6 Bermuda races under its belt. Not badly priced either. It’s on yachtworld.com
I followed the race almost daily. It’s very much about the boat prep and knowing when to push the boat and when to preserve it.
Best of luck.

Re: 32-36 ft full keel boat for Golden Globe Race
Contessa 32, no need for introductions, rounded Cape Horn several times, perfect for a single-hander. I sailed one as far as New Zealand, 6 boats later, it's still my favourite. There are some fine examples in Ontario, that's where I bought mine.

- Designed prior to 1988 and have a minimum series of 20 yachts built from one mould.
- Have a hull length of between 32ft and 36ft. Bowsprits, wind vanes and outboard rudders, boomkins, pushpits and pulpits are not measured.
- Have full-length keels with rudders attached to the trailing edge.
- A minimum design displacement is 6,200kg.
The preapproved design list is:
Westsail 32 • Tradewind 35 • Saga 34 • Saltram 36 • Vancouver 32 & 34 • OE 32 • Eric (sister ship to Suhaili) • Aries 32 • Baba 35 • Biscay 36 • Bowman 36 • Cape Dory 36 • Nicholson 32 MKX-XI • Rustler 36, Endurance 35, Gaia 36, Hans Christian 33T, Tashiba 36, Cabo Rico 34, Hinckley Pilot 35, Lello 34, Gale Force 34.
I have already been speaking with a few owners right now and I waiting on a reply on few offers.
I live in Ontario, would prefer boats located around the Great Lakes area.
Also would prefer project boats since the boat will have to go through a significant refit to be ready for the race.
If there are any leads please email: gaurav@gauravshinde.com

Re: 32-36 ft full keel boat for Golden Globe Race
Ahoy,
I’ve got what might be just the boat now for sale in the San Francisco Bay Area.
She’s built in 1968, a Spencer 35, a proven blue water vessel, sister ship of Whisper sailed by Hal and Margaret Roth. You may know them if you’ve been around awhile.
I had a major refit last July/August with new standing rigging by Glen Hansen, a well known Bay Area rigger. All new electrical, nearly 800 amp hours. Some new running rigging, all set up for single handing which I’ve done for 25 years. I had her all set up for a circumnavigation for a departure this Spring but bought a Passport 42
Her mast was made for racing out of Shileshole in Seattle. She has quite a history.
She’d be ideal for the GGR which was suggested that I do with her, but with the Passport I’ll be attempting the Five Capes solo nonstop starting from Bora Bora this fall.
You can see her listing at Rubicon Yachts out of Emeryville.

Re: 32-36 ft full keel boat for Golden Globe Race
You might do worse than look at a Contessa 32 - right at the smallest end of your scale, perhaps, but very solidly-built boats. Home | Contessa 32 Class Association is the website. BTW, there is no such word as "pushpit", which is a back formation from "pulpit". The correct term for the railing that stops the crew from falling out of the back of the boat is "taffrail". (gets off, or more pedantically, "dismounts from", hobby-horse!).

I'd choose a Hans Christian 33 because that's the boat I want anyway.

The idea is a race with boats that match historic boats, with the only upgrades being for safety. While the basic boat may be ready, there will still be all the provisioning left to do, modifications to personal sailing style, to say nothing of the extensive practicing and tweaking required. Even a "race spec" boat won't be ready to go on the race when it splashes out of the factory.
Then the race itself is an extreme test of sailing skill and endurance.
Plus, if replicas or modern built versions of historic designs weren't allowed into the race, the number eligible boats would slowly dwindle until the race was no longer possible as some will inevitably be lost or scrapped over time.

A buddy of mine has a nice Baba 34. Very clean but without some Some of the add on’s. I forwarded him your post. I’m not even sure he wants to sell but the boat is in Morro Bay, Ca.

Check out Alajuela 33. I have owned two over the years and they are great cruising boats for offshore adventures. Stout and strong.

The list isn't locked down. But new boats will only be added after a competitor has purchased it.
I looked at the sea sprite 34 but the displacement is below 6200kg from what I see on sailboatdata.
