This boat (ELIXIR) is a 1977 Irwin 10-4 sloop trawler conversion. She is very roomy with a 10'+ beam and 6' standing headroom below deck. Her centerboard has been removed and she draws just under 3'. The original 7 hp engine has been replaced with a reliable Yanmar 2 GM 20 which gets her up to hull speed at under 2000 RPM spinning a 13x9 three blade prop with very low fuel connsumption. Her interior has been re configured to make more gally space. The enclosed head and holding tank has been replaced with composting head. I added an attractive pilot house and bulkhead mounted helm station. Elixir would make a great Loop boat for two.

This is a solid 40 year old boat with minor scuffs and scratches. She is a DIY backyard 'project boat', and finished to 'workboat' as opposed to 'yacht' standards, and is priced accordingly at $5,000. She is an unusual but good looking boat, and gets compliments wherever she goes. I used her as a motorsailer for three seasons, but, with her reduced rig, she is really more of a trawler, and I am selling her as such. I'm selling her due to age (my age).
