2006 Leopard 40 Owner's version

For Sale - Leopard 40 Owner's version. Built 2005 and launched 2006. Currently in Antigua for 2 weeks or so and then sailing north.

2006 Leopard 40 Owner's version Designers: Morelli & Melvin Builders: Robertson & Caine
3 cabin, 2 head (with separate shower stalls)
Volvo Penta M2030D 2 x 29hp (had 455hrs when purchased in May 2016 and galley oven was still in plastic) Solar: “Sunpower” 1035Wp via 3 panels mounted on custom s/s frame work.
Batteries x3 Lead Crystal , 600ampH total. Spectra 150 deluxe 12v 25ltr p.h. 600ltr of fresh water tanks.
Std Diesel tanks 175ltrs x 2 plus extra Vetus tank installed 395ltrs with line, pump and Racor filter to rear tanks. Extra Snowmaster 95ltr portable freezer strapped in Port side bow storage compartment that has been closed off by 2 doors with extraction fans fitted. Perforated one-way window film on main saloon and cabin hatches
New Delrin rudder bushes and rudder stocks reworked (Sept 2019)
lots of spares, and all the tools. Kitchen supplies, new linen, spare small inverters, etc
Equipment list: 3 cabin, 2 heads (elec),
1 x forepeak cabnet Port side (storage of spares and 95lt freezer), separate shower stalls. Second storage behind shower stall s/board side.
Volvo M2030D, just under 1000 hours on engines and saildrives
Bottom: barrier coat x2 and Seahawk Island 44 Plus in 2017. (2 x more coats Nov 2018) and again in Sept 2019 Dingy: Explorer 3.1 (South African made), 1 x 15hp (15-20hrs) and 1 x 5 hp Yamaha - all purchased new Dec 2016 with pontoon covers (replaced new Sept 2019) and engine covers.
Solar: Installed end 2016, 345w x3 “Sunpower” panels. Victron invertor/charger 2000/80 (Dec 2016)
Batteries: 3 x Lead Crystal – total 600ampH. New end 2016.
Generator: Fischer Panda PMS N8000E (245hrs April 2018)
Watermaker : Spectra 150D 12v plus spare primary filters - runs off solar. Commissioned in 2017 Instruments: Raymarine. All replaced Sept 2019 - Axiom 9"RV Chartplotter, Quantum 2 digital Radar, 2 x i70S, i60, EV-400 Smatpilot control, EV1 Sensor core plus AIS700 Transceiver with sep GPS (Nov 2018).
New cockpit canvas covers plus sunshade and upholstery covers and cushions.
New stack pack sail cover and UV on genoa. 2016
All lines, sheets and ropes replaced end 2016 Shower mixers, head, pipes and rail replaced (Grohe brand) 2018
Harken 44 2spd electric winch plus 46 2spd manual winch at the helm. Ease of short-handed sailing.
2 x Manual Winches on the mast. Personal digital safe.
Extra cupboards fitted in Port gangway for groceries and heads for toiletries.

Hi - Still original. Boat was never sailed for the first 10 years of it's life. 455hrs on motors in 2016. Checked by riggers twice and last one in Sept 2019. Die-formed over spec rigging. We're now in USVI.

I had only realised the original post was beginning of Feb - I had since reduced the price to US$220,000

Thanks for the pics. Very helpful. Am interested in the boat. Hope you might tolerate a few more questions?

1. Did she ever have a/c? Know some folks get fed up and throw it overboard. Wondering if it could be refit?
2. What was the reason for pulling the keels?
3. Could you please do pics (just one each) of both engine lockers and both heads?
4. By any chance has the US Import Duty ever been paid on her?
