2004 Sabre 386- $105,000 St Lucia

Listed well below market value for a prompt sale at $105k!
Sister ships selling for $160-229k!

This vessel was bought and is currently ready for the ARC EUROPE rally that was recently canceled. She is outfitted with all ARC approved safety equipment and 1000L of fuel on board. She is ready to splash and GO!

The Sabre 386 is about as close as one and get to the perfect combination of good sailing ability, great blue water capability, comfort, spacious accommodations, great looks and quality craftsmanship throughout. Built with pride in Maine, they are rightly considered by those in the know as a high quality blue water capable cruiser with as much comfort as any boat of her length can provide.

I actually sold this particular vessel in July of 2019 to her new owner to join the ARC EUROPE that was scheduled to depart the Caribbean on the 5th of May 2020 but due to the world wide pandemic they have canceled the races and the owner sadly has to pass her on. She is outfitted for a safe, comfortable life offshore with all safety equipment up to date, watermaker with a recent overhaul, solar panels, wind generator and much more!

'Sotirius' was previously owned by a meticulous and knowledgeable Dutch sailor who has clearly spared no expense taking great care of her since NEW. Already located in the Caribbean on the hard in St. Lucia awaiting her new owners to continue her maritime adventures.

It will be difficult to find another boat as well taken care of and as well equipped as Sotirius. With her sister ships selling for above the $150k mark and well up in to the 200k's. At $105k this is an absolute steal for this boat and may even be the best deal in our inventory at this time! This boat is absolutely turn key with no issues whatsoever. We highly recommend a viewing of this beautiful boat that is 100% ready for blue water sailing!

Vessel Walkthrough

Starting forward we find the master cabin with centerline double island berth, storage includes four large drawers under the berth and more storage space located in the vanity to port. There is a large cedar lined hanging locker to starboard as well as plenty of additional storage shelves.

Aft of the forward cabin in the main salon, there is an L shaped settee with cupboards and shelved units outboard and above to port. There is a fold-up dining table that allows for more living space when not deployed. To starboard is a linear settee to provide either a single berth or extra seating when required. The aft end of the settee provides the seating for the aft facing navigation station.

Further aft in the main salon is the L shaped galley with double sinks inboard forward followed by the fridge/freezer unit outboard with ample amount of counter top space above and the stove most aft along the bulkhead.

Opposite the companionway steps and forward of the aft cabin is the head with hand basin most forward followed by the inboard facing toilet. Aft is the separate and spacious shower stall.

In the aft cabin, the berth is oriented athwartships to make great use of space. A cedar lined hanging locker and vanity provide to port ample spaces for your personal gear. The whole of the interior is fashioned in rich, warm hardwoods to create a beautiful and traditional ambience below decks.

Re: 2004 Sabre 386- $105,000 St Lucia

Two engines? Why two engines? How are they arranged? Also, the boat has a 40 gallon fuel tank, but the narrative says there is 1,000L of fuel on board. Where is all that fuel?

Re: 2004 Sabre 386- $105,000 St Lucia

The broker probably mixed up listing, two engines with 250 gal of fuel are usual on a catamaran but not on a 38 ft monohull

Re: 2004 Sabre 386- $105,000 St Lucia

Sorry guys, apparently the broker had an issue when inputting the original engine and tender details in (thanks for drawing attention to it!). There is 1000L of fuel on board, that wasn't a typo, it's currently in jugs as the owner was prepping for a transatlantic race. Only 1 tender. Correct engine details as follows:

Engines
Total Power: 40 HP

Engine 1:
Engine Brand: Yanmar
Year Built: 2004
Engine Model: 3JH3E
Engine Type: Inboard
Engine/Fuel Type: Diesel
Engine Hours: 2732
Drive Type: Direct Drive
Engine Power: 40 HP

What type of sailing race allows one to use their motor? That's a new one on me

My understanding was that you are penalized for using the motor for propulsion by some ratio, such as 2 minutes added to your time for every 1 minute the motor is used.
