2004 Leopard 42 Owner's Version

Bacchus is a never chartered, well maintained Owner's Version of the award winning Leopard 42 Catamaran. Bacchus is presently in Virginia, Lower Chesapeake Bay area, and is For Sale with an asking price of $325,000.

Bacchus was struck by lightening in 2018 and as a result almost everything electrical or electronic was replaced or rebuilt with the exception of some engine instruments. We have lived on Bacchus ever since and traveled the past two years cruising the Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean. The past Hurricane season was spent in Grenada. Bacchus performs flawlessly and there are no lingering gremlins from the lightening strike.

The new owners get a USCG Documented vessel with all new standing rigging, most all new working rigging, all new electronics, new lights inside and out (almost all now LED), and much, much more. Bacchus is a cruising vessel, not a dock queen.

We love our boat but at our age it is time to move to a power cat or trawler.

Re: 2004 Leopard 42 Owner's Version

I forgot to list the water maker! Bacchus has a Little Wonder, double membrane water maker that produces between 8 and 10 GPH depending on temperature and salinity. I believe those are the factors affecting output, I am no expert on the why's.

There are also several boxes of spare parts such as an alternator, fan belts, impellers, Joker Valves, etc. as well as many screws, nuts, bolts, blocks, lights and such.

Re: 2004 Leopard 42 Owner's Version

Maybe this is a dumb question.. if I can afford a home of this cost would the bank finance me a boat of this price without owning a home?

Re: 2004 Leopard 42 Owner's Version

I would think so.....but why would "owning" a home in itself have anything to do with your ability to get financed for a boat? Like most financial institutions they will look at your assets, income, debts, etc. or am I missing something? Sounds like an amazing boat though - go for it! ;-)

Well, Bacchus is presently partially mortgaged and we don't own a home. I think you would just need to shop around or speak with my lender about an assumption.

This is a tad smaller than we were considering but your vessel has many positives. We are in Annapolis and would like to arrange a time to see.

Re: 2004 Leopard 42 Owner's Version

Are you looking at a particular powercat ?
I am in the market for a powercat and was just wondering if you have researched and are focusing in on a particular manufacturer/model.
Thx
