1998 Manta 40

1998 Manta 40 $236,000

Location: Kemah,Tx

This yacht is an EXCELLENT EXAMPLE of an Very Well maintained and equipped Manta 40. Known for their above average build quality and sailing characteristics Manta catamarans enjoy an excellent reputation and a fiercely loyal owner's group. This Manta 40 Catamaran has been Very Well maintained by her owner's and has been cruising since her current owners bought her in 2016. She has just returned to Kemah, Tx in May and as you can see after you go over the listing she is ready to take off again, all you need to add is provisions.

A Proven Blue Water cruising catamaran built in Florida, the Manta 40 has all you need for cruising in comfort. Mantas were purpose built for the private owner, not the charter market. Designed for easy handling by one or two people, this boat can also accommodate a small family for the live aboard lifestyle. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on board. The bathrooms have separate walk-in showers. The Owners and VIP cabins have queen size berths.

Construction is fastidious, benefiting from the experience of Manta’s Pat Reischmann who has been involved in state-of-the-art
composite technology since it first began to change the face of boat building. All elements of the boat are vacuum bagged. Hull, deck and bulkheads utilize a varying schedule of traxial, biaxial and unidirectional cloth applied with isophthalic and vinylester resins. Below the waterline, the hulls feature solid glass and vinylester; above the waterline and in the deck, Nida-Core polyproylene honeycomb reduces weight and increases stiffness and strength.
