Please update me on your boat. I won't buy the one I'm currently looking at until a survey is done. The boat is out of state for me and it seems to be taking a long time to do. This makes me a bit nervous. Part of the problem is the boat is in the water and will have to be pulled to do a proper survey.

Have there been any changes with your boat such as location or ??

I fully intended to buy the Cape Dory but require a survey before I do. The seller is in no hurry to haul the boat out of the water (his cost and convenience). I’m paying for the survey but not the haul. I want him to have some investment in this sale and not just having me to pay for the whole thing, knowing there is a problem at no risk to him.

The cost to haul it will be about $400 with a pressure wash on the hull that the surveyor wanted. I don’t think that is too much to ask and don’t see why he is reluctant unless he suspects a problem. That makes me a bit nervous.

BTW, I don’t think I have a picture of the Yanmar. If you have one handy, please provide it. Also, you mentioned you might provide some help getting the boat across the GOM (for a price of course).

It's possible, I have the name of the original owners somewhere, but I believe she was stationed in Miami/ft Lauderdale area before making her way to the st. Johns River where i bought her from the second owner
