Hi all,
Posting our beautiful First 405. She is currently set up for daysailing with very simple systems including a composting
head and only two through-hulls for peace of mind and simple
maintenance I have a
survey from just over 3 years ago when we bought the
boat. Comes with main, 120%
genoa and an asymmetrical
spinnaker with a sock. I may also sell the Trinka 10 I use as a
tender which has a sailing rig and good oars.
These boats have an issue with the
headliner foam deteriorating, resulting in sagging headliners. This is particularly an issue in the aft
cabin which doesn't have the attractive wooden battens that keep the liner up in the rest of the
boat. Luckily, the previous owner did the hard
work of removing the
headliner and foam from the aft
cabin.
Boat has new masthead
anchor light,
VHF antenna and
wiring, as well as new
propane lines to the
galley. She's ready to go; we sail her every week with my 3
kids and 2 parents and overnight her fairly regularly as well.
I'm selling because we're looking to downsize - our visions of more extensive cruising have not come to pass & I'm looking for a smaller lighter boat that my young
kids can take a more active role in sailing. I'm particularly interested in fast day sailors and Corsair/Farrier trimarans in the unlikely event that a
trade might make sense.
Attaching some pics to get things started - I will
work on getting more & newer ones soon; the attached are from a few years ago. Give a call or text anytime - happy to discuss.
Pete
