re: 1983 Sabre 38 - $47,500 - Miami, FL - A Couple’s Cruising Boat

Nice boat. Great adventure. I’m a stink pot captain with a 44’ Defever but love sailboats. Just need more room with the wife and toy poodles.
Good luck!

In addition to this listing of the boat, we are also separately selling our Rainman watermaker that has been amazing. It makes about 20 gallons of water an hour with its single 40” membrane. Used for an hour or so every three or four days for most of our trip. Stores nicely in the aft berth. All one has to do is toss the intake and brine hose overboard, product hose into the tank, power up the Honda 2000 and flip a switch. (On the website, it is the 115v electric unit and the eco membrane.) Also included is the power washing attachment that has been great to clean our fiberglass decks with. Can use this attachment with either saltwater or fresh (and it only uses about a gallon a minute of fresh water).

We purchased new for $4,200 when we left Florida for the Bahamas. This is being sold separately for $3,350 and includes a few filters and pickling solution

Just a note that the watermaker has been sold.

Ended (actually, paused) our cruise with a gentle sail through the Bahama Banks and across the Golf Stream today. Will start to show Carpe Ventum at Dinner Key sometime next week once she is cleaned up and us moved off. If you have already emailed me expressing interest, I will reach out to you.

re: 1983 Sabre 38 - $47,500 - Miami, FL - A Couple’s Cruising Boat

Work very quickly took over my life when I returned to Miami, so it took a long while to actually move everything off of CV in order to show her. I finally reached the realization that I just don't have time necessary to do the showings and have listed her with a broker.

Here is the listing:

Still happy to answer questions here!

Not sure why would you say that. Any used engine is questionable, with an engine counter or not. Often they are disabled or simply not working. Only an inspection will reveal the shape of the motor.

Perhaps I am biased since I owe a Sabre 34T, but they are very well build boats. In a different class then production boats of the same age.

re: 1983 Sabre 38 - $47,500 - Miami, FL - A Couple’s Cruising Boat

Hello! We have been enjoying Carpe Ventum here in Miami, so haven't tried too hard to sell her. However, we'd still love to see her go to someone who will sail her farther than we can.

We are dropping the price to 47,500, with the following changes to the listing.

1) The dinghy and outboard has been sold separately.
2) The bimini canvas as died. We needed to take it off to prep for the potential hurricane hit. The zippers were stuck, so we were forced to cut it off. Oh well.
3) This also means the flexible solar panels have no place to be installed to. The two 100 watt panels off the side of the frame have been reinstalled.
