MORGAN OUT ISLAND 33. Location-Ft. Lauderdale (Light House Pt.) FL $16,000
We purchased “Diversion” from the original owner in 1988 and day-sailed it on Lake Michigan…a 4 month seasons in fresh
water, for 8 years. Then we had it trucked to S Fla. where we have cruised to The
Bahamas, The Keys and a whole lot of 3-5 day trips around South
Florida.
But time has come to sell. We are getting older and other activities occupy so many weeks that we don’t use it as often as we should.
This is a very roomy vessel…probably the largest 33 footer ever built:
Cabin interior headroom is almost 6 ½’. With the wide beam, 7 opening portholes and 2 overhead hatches, the area is very pleasant in almost all conditions. A very serviceable
galley to port consists of sink,
refrigerator cooled by 12v cold plates (that will keep
food fresh for a full day between runs),
stove and a lot of
storage. The additional Engel refrig/freezer adds to the convenience. Roomy main
salon offers seating for many and the ability for a couple to stretch out.
Pedestal table provides for comfortable dining. The
Navigation table and main
electrical panel is located to starboard. Here is located the
VHF (with RAM mike in the cockpit) and am/fm
radio. We use the quarter berth for
storage, but it a sizeable area for additional sleeping comfort. The
head has a
Raritan toilet as well as sink and
shower. Again, lots of storage. The V-berth
bed will accommodate 2 persons with plenty of room to be comfortable.
Bed width is 84” and 6’+ long.
The
boat is made for comfort and we have added to it:
Refrig w/ 12v cold plate system. Separate Engel refrig/freezer
6
cabin fans to circulate air. TV with built-in
DVD Player
New cushion cores and mattress foam.
Cockpit cushions.
LED
Lighting throughout the cabin.
It is an easy vessel to sail.
The large
cockpit lets
captain and crew get comfortable.
Wheel steering on a hydraulic system. Is reliable and easy to handle.
Bimini and side curtains protect from sun and rain.
Genoa and main furl for easy operation. The main sail furls inside the
mast. But wait!!! It furls electrically.
Pull the switch on the
pedestal and the sail rolls out. Push the switch the other way and the sail furls back in the
mast.
Easy reefing with use of the
electric roller furling system.
All sail control lines lead to cockpit for easy handling by
captain.
Maintenance & Upkeep are easier with the addition of a built in
oil change pump and
diesel polishing system.
