No, she was off the market for a while, but back on now. We are making the move up. New dodger and mainsail cover, new prop, too.
Come get her. She was loved, used regularly and well maintained.
Haulout date is November 14th.

Re: 1971 Allied Luders 33

UPDATE: Just installed a brand new Michigan wheel today. We have found and purchased our next "Good Old Boat".
"Endeavour" is now hauled and winterized at a local yard here on the South Shore of Long Island. Come get a great boat!

Maybe it’s an optical illusion but the fit of that beautiful propeller on the shaft looks a bit odd and the propeller shaft seems unusual too, hopefully grease and shadows.

Re: 1971 Allied Luders 33

Mariner84 did you install the prop or the yard? It does look like it's bound on the key and not fully inserted onto the shaft taper. Was it fitted first with the key, shaft marked with a sharpie, and then fitted with the key? And I hope that's not grease on the taper under the prop hub.

Mariner84, I have the same boat, nice prop you got. Do you mind sharing the prop specs? Thanks.

Re: 1971 Allied Luders 33

Went to the yard and removed it to get the pics - I had none before and, as they say on the interwebs, it didn't happen if there are no pics.
Fit the prop as follows:
Marked and blued (first bluing was pretty good, but I had the lapping compound with me), then lapped lightly and blued again. Cleaned the shaft and hub, then fit without the key and marked with a pencil line, then installed. Light never-seize on the key and threads only.

Last pic is the box with the wheel specs. Keep in mind this is for a Yanmar 3GM30F.

Re: 1971 Allied Luders 33

Was this boat called Nereid at one time. Curious because I've got it listed as a 1970 in our database. . It's one of our "missing" 33s.

Butler:
She's registered as a '71 and has been "Endeavour" since the previous owner. We didn't change the name. Thank you for reaching out, the Luders 33 is a great boat and we looked for many of the same characteristics in our next one.

Blue Hill's a beautiful place....

Re: 1971 Allied Luders 33

So I may have unconfused myself as I look back at some of the photos and then the ID and probable reference to your boat which is not? a Luders 33... The Subject line of the thread says Luders 33 but I'm thinking that's not correct.

Not sure I understand your post... the photos are of a L33 and the boat listed is a L33, I can certainly attest to that.
Why is the subject line incorrect?
