1969 Cal-2 30 racer cruisercondition: excellent length overall (LOA): 31 make / man

Price 20,000
Honokohau Harbor big island of Hawaiicondition: excellent
length overall (LOA): 31
make / manufacturer: Jenson
model name / number: Cal-2 30
propulsion type: sail
year manufactured: 1969
This vessel is a solid hand laid up fiberglass hull designed by William Lapworth, boat is30', and w/4500 lb fin keel, spade rudder. 10,300 displacement, 25' of waterline, sleeps six with v-berth, center berth that turns into settee, and two side berths aft. Galley sink w/foot pump, ice box cooler in counter, head with door for privacy. Lots of storage. Large cockpit, I've restored and painted the bottom of Hull in dry dock, re-painted above water blue hull and decks including interior, gone over all electrical adding a panel and usb charging for phones etc., power is easily turned on or off for every piece of equipment. All lights work. I replaced all the big rubber hose material on boat for exhaust and pluming for sinks an head. Has horizen speed sensor-race timer, a sailomat 601 wind vane steering, a 50's series Garmin GPS chartplotter and transducer that still shows my route around the Hawaiian islands with this vessel for 25 days last Nov. a tiller pilot 2000 autopilot, a new marine radio with DSC hooked up to GPS, had a custom permanent ladder built and installed to get in and out of water in rear. I installed new standing rigging with all new chainplates and tangs, all new stainless bolts. Rewired the mast, led spreader lights elimunate the deck at night, all new running rigging. A roller furler for headsails with a 140% genny and a 9oz 100% roller jib. Head sails in great shape. New 8.5 oz mainsail with 2 reef points. Has a full bimini with easy on/off zipper front clear windows for cockpit protection. Engines inboard 13hp Volvo diesel md7A. It's giving me trouble been running great for 4 years and just decided to be problematic, and I don't have time to work on it. You fix engine yourself and I'll give you 3 thousand off. Easy to single hand with tiller steering wind vane and autopilot. no slip available where it is., this is a very clean vessel all repairs I done and improvements were for me to sail it in blue water. Change of plan forces sale.

Re: 1969 Cal-2 30 racer cruisercondition: excellent length overall (LOA): 31 make /

Sold this boat!

Update: I had 4 people wanting to buy last year but didn't want to work on or knew nothing about engines.

I took boat off the market because had to go to mainland for 5 months.

Upon returning I was bleeding fuel system to start it, turned it over with remote button attached to starter, key off, she started immediately. Tried with key on wouldn't start! Confused I discovered corrosion in key switch, control panel lights etc. I replaced all the electrical in control panel and once again the engine starts with key.
