1965 Pearson Vanguard (Indiantown, FL)

Looking for dedicated and knowledgeable person to be the next custodian of this American made classic. I poured many years of dedication and money to fully restoring this old girl but my time and drive for the project is limited these days and I don’t want the work that I have done to go to waste. A lot of major things have been done already it really just needs a pant job and to be put back together. All soft spots in the deck had core replacement with marine ply and epoxy. Original plexiglass panes in the large windows replaced with hurricane proof glass. Complete interior refit was completed a few years back. Propulsion was converted to an outboard motor well but still has shaft and prop on the boat and there’s a beta diesel that’s a drop in replacement for the old atomic 4 that’s available for a few extra bucks. All bronze hardware salvaged from old wood boats and consignment shops. Even have all bronze fasteners for nearly everything. Rig needs to be finished but has all Norseman fittings just need wire. New masthead made for internal halyards. All new chain plates made from bronze bar. Laminated teak bowsprit with solid bronze fittings for head stay and inner stay. Antique moritz bronze windlass. All sails are brand new still. Had plans to convert them to slab reefing but never got around to it. Entire electrical system updated with 4 agm golf cart batteries for house power with 2 100 watt solar panels. Boat has been in dry storage for the last two years and will need a good clean out but everything off the boat has been stored safe and dry in my shop. Looking for a serious buyer who wants to give the boat the love it deserves. This boat will take you around the world when it’s finished! Message for more info I have many many things that go with the boat including paint and non skid for the topsides, 200 ft of high test anchor chain (the good American made not the cheap Chinese stuff), 8 ft fiberglass rowing/ sailing dinghy that I restored, 6hp long shaft tohatsu sail pro outboard motor, two Aries self steering wind vanes that need rebuilt, and most of the gear required for a long distance cruising boat. Asking price is nowhere close to what I put into this project and what one would spend to get a boat of this vintage in this close to restored. Asking $15,000 for everything. Feel free to message me for more info

Re: 1965 Pearson Vanguard (Indiantown, FL)

I'm interested. I had one of these boats in Long Beach with the galley near the companionway layout. I would love to have the room she offers on the other side of the pond where I need to be. I know she will get me there if fitted for the job.

careful of adding a lot of chain in the bow of these boats .. it can change the way they sit in the water.
