Plusses as well as Minuses to "they all do that" - plus is that the fix is known and has been road tested by others......but nonetheless I would want not only the fix fully priced in, but also my risk (that more extensive work / damage than beleived and that the fix doesn't work as well as hoped - particularly that loads / stresses now moved elsewhere).
