West Coast of US

I'm planning on a trip down the West Coast of the US late summer/early fall and am looking for some input on my plan. Here are a few details:
46 ft sailboat
6.5 ft draft
Crew of 4
All retired so no work pressures on schedule
Starting in Puget Sound mid August
Ending in San Diego whenever
Planning on stops for a day or two in:
Astoria OR
Garibaldi OR
Newport OR
Coos Bay OR
Crescent City CA
Humboldt Bay CA
Bodega Bay CA
San Francisco CA
Half Moon Bay CA
Monterey CA
Morro Rock CA
San Miguel Island
Santa Catalina Island and then
San Diego

Particularly interested to hear from anyone that has made this journey and how much I can trust Windy and the NWS for 2-3 day out forecasts in this area.
