Kemah, Texas?

Thinking of spending some time in kemah, any thoughts, experiences, recommendations?
Canadian registered vessel, how long can I stay? Can the vessel stay?

I dont know the legalities, but the Kemah area is one of the largest concentrations of recreational vessels in the USA which means huge marinas, lots of boat traffic, lots of bar/restuerant options, and loads of yacht services...anything you want done can be done there to high standards.

As a cruising ground its not so great, but there are some local options.

Hi! Originally from Kemah, but out world cruising now.

Kemah's nice; maybe just avoid the insanity of the Kemah Boardwalk area. I prefer Seabrook.

There are tons of great restaurants; T-bone Tom's, Classic Cafe, Seabrook Waffle Co a lot has changed lately due to the 146 bridge expansion project.

If you can get over to Space Center Houston, it's really worth it.

You can stay for 6 months. The vessel can stay for 12 months.
