Is there a good place to get quotes for docking my boat? It's a lot of hassle!

Hola,

I sail around a lot and move from place to place. I'm tired of ringing/ contacting every marina to see if they have space and get a quote etc.

Is there a better alternative? Or a site that can do this for me?

Does anybody else have this problem?

Thanks,
Robbie

Welcome. Yes, there are options. But it depends on where you are. Let us know and someone in your area will probably be able to help.

Dockwa and Snag-a-Slip on US East Coast. Without making reservation, you can key in a date and see the transient rate. However, if I plan to stay 4 or more days, then contacting the marina will often reveal a weekly rate.

Thanks all.

Is there not a global solution for this? Like a company who you provide information to and they get quotes for you?

Is it so hard to contact a marina from where you are?

Or even identify where you are?

As your comment looks similar to other recent comments here, we remind you that there is also a search function available on this site.

There is one in Europe too, but not global. It's called Navily. They have an app too.
But honestly I rather negotiate prices in person. A global app would kind of start to level prices out and likely make the cheaper places more expensive.

You shouldn't need a single site or application. If you're in the US, use Dockwa. If you're in another region of the world, then use whatever service is most widely adopted in that region. It's not like you're going to be bouncing back and forth between the Med, Caribbean, South Pacific every few weeks.

Where you are now, and where you plan to cruise would be helpful in garnering more informative responses.

There are most certainly companies that will do this, and lots of other things, for you.

They are called Yacht Managment Companies, Yacht Agents, or Yacht Service Companies, and they cater (mostly) to super yachts.

If you have enough money in your budget to pay for this service, you probably aren't looking for it here.

I guess the OP is trying to get a feeling if it's worthwhile programming something like this.
Only very few posts and new user...
