We paid $1.03 a gallon in Ecuador in 2007! Cheapest ever as it was subsidized from Venezuala. Average was $4.00/gallon around the world.

Australia, the only country we came across where diesel is more expensive than petrol .Currently (in Queensland) US$ 1.68 per litre and petrol US$ 1.53 per litre

They're not; Imperial Gallon is 12% more.

We just payed 130 Yen per liter in Tannowa, Japan. Current exchange is US$1=120 Y that is less than $1.10 for a liter. I think it is cheaper if we bunker outside but needed to top off before we started moving rather quickly back through the Inland Sea.

The price in Venezuela this week is one cent a liter.

Officially, this price would not be available to foreigners or even well-off Venezuelans, but for a small mark-up, it would be available to you. You can also get this same stuff in Colombia where it's smuggled across the border, but still a slight mark-up. I don't like the shipping containers they use, so maybe dirty fuel and not worth it.

The price in Subic Bay Philippines is US$0.56 per litre or US$2.12 per US gallon which includes the government tax which can be rebated but it is a ball ache to arrange and being a relatively small amount no one bothers.
So cheap fuel which is why we are

It's worth noting that the system wasnt implemented As a result of EU " pressure " it was a derogation secured on entry to the EEC by Ireland and the uk, that non road users could use marked gas oil. That derogation was written into national law, which simply expired

It's worth noting the EU is proposing to sue both the uk and Ireland over the current arrangements.

Currently marked gas oil is €0.80 /litre. Hence about €3.20 per US gallon. Or $3.50
Remitting the tax of course makes this more expensive

Due to road tax difference, Diesel is more expensive than gasoline in most of the USA

A couple of people have posted Aussie prices already at around now $1.35 Aud per litre but I believe that is on road service station prices.
Marina's and re fuelling stations within Marinas will put a margin on that and in my experience last year up the QLD coast that was up to 50% higher than bowser prices at on road service stations.

Mexico: Diesel about $4.00 a gallon buying directly from the local PEMEX station using jerrycans. Fueling at marinas often adds another 20% due to service fees, even if you use your dinghy to get fuel or carry your jerrycans to the station.
