Cruising in vietnam

Ahoy sailors!
I plan to buy in the close future a sailboat and I want to cruise asian waters. I just red vietnam is very hard to get into because of paperwork and costs. Is it still like that? Couse the the post was 10 years ago..

Surely the Vietnamese embassy, in whatever country you live, would be the place to source this information.

A good source of info is always https://www.noonsite.com. There was some very relevant information there for cruising Vietnam.
