Re: Chula Vista

Not a good part of town. Lots of crazy homeless people and gang activity. If someone attacks you or comes on your boat at night and you call the cops they won't even respond. The entire south bay area, excuse me, all of southern california, arizona and nevada have huge 2nd or third generation latino populations and a lot of them are very racist/hostile if you aren't brown skin. Coronado is slightly better but full of tourists.

I spent many years in the area. Got to the top of the list for a mooring in Coronado and passed on it. Moved to the east coast and got a boat here. Much better cruising grounds and more places to go. The crime rate in Mexico has skyrocketed over the last few years. Do not go there. I was robbed twice.

Chula Vista

We have stopped there several times for a few days or a week. The marina is nice enough. People are friendly. You really need a car because there is nothing nearby that you want to get to. There is a tiny West Marine store a long walk or short bike ride away through rather sketchy areas.

Who EXACTLY is racist????? Have you ever thought that perhaps the person on the other end of this conversation might take offense to your "brown skin" comment?

It seems SailsTeam has presented his thoughts about the people in that area... presumably in an honest manner.
You were the one who asked for people's thoughts.

Latinos who routinely refer to black people as negros are racist. A common practice in the spanish speaking population of southern California, Nevada and Arizona.
