XyGrib for Opencpn gribs

Not sure if this has come up already but the latest XyGrib allows grib2 downloads which can be opened with the opencpn grib viewer. Well the file extension is .grb2 so assume they're grib2.

Only tried a few but manual says these are th models available >

Atmospheric Global Models
GFS - NOAA-GFS model - Resolutions: 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 deg - Cycles: 00, 06, 12, 18 UTC - Days: 1-10
ICON - DWD-ICON-GLOBAL model - Resolution: 0.25 deg - Cycles: 00, 12 UTC - Days: 1-8
Arpege - MeteoFrance-Arpege model - Resolution: 0.5 deg - Cycles: 00, 12 UTC - Days: 1-4

Wave Models
WW3 - NOAA-WW3 model (global without Mediterranean Sea) - Resolution: 0.5 deg - Cycles: 00, 06, 12, 18 UTC - Days: 1-8
GWAM - DWD-WAM model (global & including Mediterranean Sea) - Resolution: 0.25 deg - Cycles: 00, 12 UTC - Days: 1-8
EWAM - DWD-WAM model (European waters and Mediterranean Sea) - Resolution 0.05 x 0.1 deg - Cycles: 00, 12 UTC - days 1-4

Does the opencpn grib viewer do waves?

I routinely download wave data in Grib (1, not 2) files and view it in OpenCPN. Has all the same functions as viewing wind (color overlays, spot data, etc.)

Does the opencpn grib viewer do waves?

Yes it does (global) waves (height, period, direction) but does not display swell vs wind waves...
