Weather book or class

I'm interested in learning more about marine weather patterns and forecasting, more specifically in the Chesapeake Bay. I work off hours, so I'd rather find a book or online course that is most appropriate rather than in person class. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!!!

It is a "person" class but the Power Squadron Weather course is quite good. Plus it is targeted to mariners.

Re: Weather book or class

It's a bigger topic than the Chesapeake Bay area, but the already mentioned Lee Chesneau has an excellent book written with a freighter skipper that has really deepened my understanding of weather patterns:

Heavy Weather Avoidance and Route Design: Concepts and Applications of 500 Mb Charts: Ma-Li Chen, Lee S. Chesneau: 9780939837786: Amazon.com: Books

I'm only just into it, but it reminds me of Beth Leonard's Voyager's Handbook in that it "brings it all together".
