Looking for recommendations for splicing kit (and instructions) for beginner to learn splicing(Various diameters/ material)....

Get a book called “The Rigger’s Apprentice” by Brion Toss.

Also, there are lots of YouTube videos of splicing.

I second the Brion Toss recommendation. If you are going to do more than a little bit of splicing, I think the extra money for his Splicing Wand is well worth the money.

The Riggers Apprentice is good, but there is a lot more detailed splicing info in Toss' spiral bound book Working Rope Book 5.

Selma fids are a nice kit but instructions are basic, for tips and techniques riggers apprentice as mentioned above, also Sampson ropes put out some good videos online
