6ft waves are nothing but 8sec period can be punishing.

I think this is what I call choppy. Not rough, just choppy. Bad in a small boad less so in a much bigger one.

Avoid windward work.

Gentle chop versus rough ocean

We left Astoria at 10:00am on Sunday and arrived in Neah Bay around 7:00pm on Monday.

We took a pretty good pounding the night we headed up there. The trip home was a lot easier, but we did have a headwind both ways...
