Best I pod model for Navionics

When I bought my boat, On the delivery trip around Fl, I discovered on day one that the chip in the plotter stopped just South of Daytona. My phone became primary Nav then and worked very well, you quickly get used to the small screen when it's all there is.

I use an iPad 2 and Navionics as back up with a Garmin Glonass bluetooth GPS antena. Works fine! I tried to enable use it with my MacBook Air and OpenCPN but was not succesful to pair the bluetooth GPS.
