Hi All, thanks to Talos for their support!
I am just not sure how useful this device would be. Surely you do not need a device to tell you there is
lightning in the area?
Ok, so know you know there is lightning around as some of you have said, it will give you time to prepare. Do you cant outrun or sail away from the storm.
How exactly would you prepare for a strike?
I am not sure turning everything off will help, in fact I know it wont. Unplugging everything could help a lot, but this would be very hard with flush mounted
equipment.
Do you go dead ship and shut down everything. Turn of all circuit breakers?
A friend got hit and it fried everything!
Do most modern yachts have surge and lightning protection build in?
Sorry if I am repeating a question, but I just skimmed through the thread!
Love to hear your thoughts!
