I did not have the best of luck with my Lehr. We used it about 10 hours total then washed it out and put it away while we trucked the boat
. When I fired up the almost-new outboard
, I discovered a propane
leak under the cowling. It looked like a maze of steel
hoses and all inter-connected. No way to try to tighten a fitting. Of course, the warrantee will not cover an outboard
in Mexico. After a month, I found a Mexican outboard mechanic
who figured it out and fixed the engine
- voiding any possible warrantee that the engine
might have had. He says it is fixed. I have not tried to use it.
In the meantime, I bought a new gasoline outboard for the dingy. The Lehr sits in storage
. I will bring it home and sell it next season.
