A couple of SP panels would be a nice addition to our boat in the future! We currently have no supply feeding our batteries other than 110v battery charger and engine alternator.

Interested in getting solar on our boat, we already have it on our house. Focused on both the decrease in diesel use as well as freedom to explore longer. https://oceanplanetenergy.com/solar-...-marine-solar/

We just ordered a hardtop bimini. Once it's on we plan to upgrade solar and controller
This would really help out. Great timing.
Thanks for the opportunity

We installed two Solara panels last year and it totally changed our cursing this summer. With a couple of smaller solbian panels we might reduce the need for the alternator to every 2 days !

I would like to replace my tired old second alternator with one that has more output and fitted with a remote rectifier to keep it cooler.

Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - ends Oct 12

I would really like to upgrade my solar panels and need a new controller to go along. One of the Victron MPPT controllers would do nicely.

I would like to have a few Firefly Carbon Foam batteries. I've heard really good things about them and I can always use a little more power reserves.

I'm currently building a small boat I hope to take camping and a small, built-in solar panel for small electronics charging would be pretty swell.

Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - ends Oct 12

Two years ago I added Solbian panels to my bimini and a pair of Victron controllers for our cruise to the Bahamas. These let us maintain our batteries, almost never again needing to run the engine to charge except during night sailing when the autopilot was working hard. I'd like to be able to monitor the system better than the voltmeter method I use now. This looks like a great compliment to the existing components and useful to build off of for my plans before our next cruise.

looking to upgrade from 3 x 210Ah AGM's to lithium with internal BMS. These match the footprint of my current AGM's but at 310Ah each and DOD exceeding 80%, not to mention cycle life and weight savings, effectively I will have at least 750Ah capacity vs only 315Ah now. That will allow me to upgrade solar as well and truly be on the hook and offgrid! This means Freedom and is the entire reason for a cruising lifestyle!
