Trompeta is a serious all ocean cruise which had a major refit in 2011 prior to participating in the ARC around the World Rally, successfully. She is in relatively good condition and nearly ready for the high seas, however a recent mishap has caused the need for repairs to bring her into top form again.
My conversation with the broker was quite informative and if you have time and talent to do some repairs, you could have a nice cruiser. Apparently, this boat was in close proximity of a suspicious building fire where it sustained some heat damage. The interior supposedly is OK.
If this doesn't scare you off, you should contact the broker for a more informed detail.
I believe it was in the water at a slip that was close to the building. The mastwiring is suspect; the sails seem OK but have a few small burn holes and the hull had some heat damage that would need some fiberglasswork.
I don't think the broker would mind me relaying this info for it would weed out tire kickers which would waste his time.
These boats are well regarded as fast, stable blue-water cruisers and this one could be a good value if you are willing to put in some time and effort into some repairs.

The way that most brokers seem to have no time to mention details, reminds me of the old Monty Python routine about the man who buys a (dead) parrot.
