The reason I liked this article is that safety is a big concern while cruising for me. I want to be able to cook and not chop something off that I may need later! Lol

For the galley & beyond, I loved the article on how to store regular plastic bags in a way that takes VERY little space using the Plastic Bag Origami! Plastic Grocery Bag Storage
Thank you!

Cat Aboard!

I never thought about the cat litter being designed to absorb moisture, therefore necessitating storage in an air-tight container (even if the bag/box is unopened)

Bravo, and thanks to The Boat Galley for the June give-away!

Hand Dishwashing Tips

Loved the advice about air drying instead of using a cloth!

Multi-Use Salad Spinner - The Boat Galley
theboatgalley.com
theboatgalley.com/salad-spinner-lots/

I have been reading TBG for some time now, and have read so many great tips that I had to purchase the book. This particular article had so many great uses for a salad spinner that I went out and purchased one of those, too, despite the fact that I
once had one and gave it away. Live & Learn!!!
Thanks,
Nicola

Re: June Giveaway - Boat Galley Cookbooks

Cooking beans and rice in a thermos? I would have never thought of that! Keeping snacks out for a quick grab rather than having people traipsing through the boat? Good idea. Bread on the grill? This I would try, I'm much more comfortable with a grill than an oven! And keeping the galley cool is a must! My husband and I are new to sailing, moving from weekend power boating to soon to be live aboard sailboaters. I'm reading everything I can get my hands on! I love all the blogs from experienced boaters, there are those of us who are anxious to soak in all of your tips and wisdom. Keep it coming!
