We sail a 46' catamaran named Ocean Zen and power her now with solar. A 600 Watt hydro-generator hard mounted beneath the water would provide max power with very little drag. On our catamaran we routinely sail at over 7 knots and this baby could power a small city even on cloudy days or nights out sailing.

Thumbs up Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - ends Oct 12

https://oceanplanetenergy.com/advanc...asis-group-31/

I’d like a new house bank for our boat before we leave Oregon and head North to Alaska. I expect that our plans to video our adventures will really increase our power demands (charging cameras and laptops for editing). I plan to spend a year traveling the coast and working in public health while in Alaska so that means a long cold dark winter and since our main heat source is forced air diesel we are really going to need the extra Ah’s! Maybe lithium is the way to go but way out of our budget at the moment. The FF seem to have a good rep.

Whatever the case fingers crossed!!

Needing to upgrade our solar so a SR 72L and perhaps two custom SR panels.

I've updated my batteries, solar panels (Solbian 3XSP103Q), BM(Balmar SG200) and controllers (2X 75/15Victron), so now on my wishlist is a replacement for the Freedom 25 (pre-xantrax) inverter/charger; a MultiPlus Inverter/Charger12V 3000VA 120A would fit the bill.

I just purchased a boat and interested in upgrading the existing solar capacity. Currently has one small panel (unsure of the capacity) and have room for one or two more.

Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - ends Oct 12

So many great goodies from OceanPlanet Energy...

Solbian or Solara Solar Panels to generate more energy:
https://oceanplanetenergy.com/solar-...-marine-solar/

Firefly Oasis Batteries to more efficiently store that energy:
https://oceanplanetenergy.com/advanc...asis-group-31/

or maybe a new Victron Inverter/Charger to charge more effectively while on the dock:
