[ENDED] BRUNTONS PROPELLERS GIVEAWAY - ends Feb 16th

At Cruisers Forum we are pleased to offer members the occasional Vendor Giveaway Prize, which we hope will help our members learn about the sponsors who support our community. Our goal is to create ways for members to engage with our sponsors, earning a chance to win a prize donated by the sponsor. We feel this will provide the sponsor a unique opportunity to embrace our laser focused audience and provide our amazing members an easy and free way to win some gear!

A special thanks to BRUNTONS PROPELLERS for providing the prizes for our latest Giveaway:

PRIZE: 1 lucky winner will receive a $500 discount towards either an Autoprop or Varifold propeller.

Sponsor Information:

At Bruntons we have no need to try and sell you a particular type of propeller. Why? Because we make every type and can therefore supply you with exactly the right propeller for your vessel. If you are not sure which type would be right for your craft please contact us; we will be happy to help.
  • Autoprop. For cruising yachts. The auto pitching Autoprop provides highly efficient motoring and motor sailing requiring lower revs and therefore using less fuel, while still feathering for less drag when sailing. So efficient is the Autoprop when motoring that some displacement motor vessels are now fitting them.
  • Autoprop EcoStar. For electrically driven craft. The result of many months of research and development the EcoStar provides all the benefits of the Autoprop together with solutions for the unique requirements of electrically driven vessels.
  • Varifold. For cruiser racer and racing yachts. Fitted as standard by many quality yacht builders around the world Varifolds unique design provides the vessel to which it is fitted with the best of both worlds: a folding propeller that combines low drag when sailing with efficient and quiet power when motoring – and they always open in reverse!

An autoprop on my old Rasmus would really help with my prop walk issues and marina manouvering

Re: BRUNTONS PROPELLERS GIVEAWAY - ends Feb 16th

I'm in the market for new propellers for my Leopard 44, 2016 with twin 4JH45 Yanmar diesels with saildrive.

I'm looking at the https://www.bruntonspropellers.com/varifold VF108 SD 3 blade for saildrives.

As a replacement for my current 2 blade fixed that vibrate excessively, and need retuned rebalanced anyway.

Eliminating prop drag can be a significant speed savings on long passages, as well as a a folding prop is less risk of getting damaged from debris when the engine is off.

I like the looks of these, and if the price is competitive, I'm very likely to buy a pair.

I would get two H9-616mm autoprops. From everything I have read they are the best prop for a motorsailer given their automatic variable pitching.

Thumbs up Re: BRUNTONS PROPELLERS GIVEAWAY - ends Feb 16th

We would love the Autoprop both for the sailing enhancement as well as RPM reduction while motoring. I've heard nothing but good things about the Autoprop.

We are replacing our prop this summer for a circumnavigation. Saving a few bucks to get a great prop would be pretty awesome.

Re: BRUNTONS PROPELLERS GIVEAWAY - ends Feb 16th

I am sure a Varifold would improve my sailing speed and give me a little bit more drive in reverse. Significant upgrade indeed!

Thank you all.https://www.bruntonspropellers.com/varifold

Re: BRUNTONS PROPELLERS GIVEAWAY - ends Feb 16th

Would love to put a 3 blade autoprop on our Gulfstar 50 ketch and pick up a knot sailing and more efficient motoring than with my old fixed 3 blade. https://www.bruntonspropellers.com/autoprop
Hoping I get picked!

Just purchased a 3-blade Autoprop H5-394mm (literally shipped today from the factory)... would be nice to have some spares and tools to maintain and service it.
