Xantrex Link Lite?

Does anyone have the new "LINKLITE" battery monitor? I just bought one, in reading the "EASY INSTALLATION" instructions there is a paragraph which states"All thick lines in the above connection diagarm represent the main current lines. These lines must be wired with a wire type and size which is rated for the maximum battery current. "OVER CURRENT PROTECTION FOR THESE LINES IS NOT SHOWN AND IS REQUIRED"? My question is this, what is meant by this statement, does this mean some kind of fuse, and if so what size, and would this go on the main battery cables? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Those are the battery cables. The ABYC code covers the fusing for battery cables. Calder's book, "Boat Owner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual" should help you figure out what size fuse you need and where it should be located. Also the Blue Sea web site has some technical information. If in doubt, hire a marine certified electrician to go over your system.
