OP plans on plugging genset in from outside, using shore power connection, so only 2 power inputs - power cord and inverter

Dangers of a gas generator on board an electric boat….understand genset will be outside when running….where will it (and extra gas) be stored? Hazard is watertight hull retaining gasoline vapours in bilge where electric motor can act as an ignition source.
